Business Idea

The Finnish Port Association, founded in 1923, is a strong protector of port operators’ interests and a societal decision-maker.

We work for the benefit of our member ports by offering fast, customer-oriented and quality protection of interests as well as information and expert services.

We are a strong societal decision-maker in Finland and in the EU. We influence the operative prerequisites of ports by promoting legislation that takes the special requirements of the ports in account and investments and procedures that enhance the profitability and flow of port-specific transports and reinforcing the expertise of member ports in new operative and administrative challenges.

We put our business idea into practice by actively cooperating with other interest groups.

Cooperation

The Port Association actively cooperates with other interest groups and affiliate groups and through cooperation, attempts to extensively influence the operative prerequisites of ports.
